PEPPERIDGE TRASH PICKUP, SOLID WASTE, YARD WASTE AND RECYCLING:
​

CURBSIDE PICKUP is through the city’s Environmental Services Dept. (ESD).  OUR PICKUP DAY IS THURSDAY.

  • PLACE CARTS AT CURB NO LATER THAN 6:00 A.M. ON YOUR SCHEDULED COLLECTION DAY.

  • Place garbage and recycling only in authorized carts provided by Augusta.

  • Carts should have 3 feet of clearance around each cart, so the truck can use the mechanical arm.

  • Place the carts away from your mailbox, parked cars, poles, or low hanging limbs.

  • Set the cart at the curb with handle facing toward your property.

  • Do not block the sidewalk or place the carts in the street.

  • Carts should be removed from the curb the evening of your collection day.
     

Please view the website http://www.augustasolidwaste.com/ for more detailed information. Augusta's local curbside pickup is managed by haulers that have contracts with Augusta's city government through the auspices of the Environmental Services Department (ESD).
 

YARD WASTE must be in compliance or it will not be picked up.  An Out-of-Compliance Notice will be sent to the property owner’s mailing address and to the address of the violation. If the yard waste remains out-of-compliance at the curb on the next collection day, Augusta will attempt to collect it at a later date and the property owner will be charged additional fees for the removal.

QUARTERLY SCRAP TIRE RECYCLING EVENTS
The third Saturday in FEBRUARY, May, August and November.

These events are held at the Solid Waste Facility and are FREE to Richmond County residents.

Please be aware that tires are NOT picked up by the regular trash collection system so take advantage of these special events.
